Enrollment Instructions


The 401k.com online tool makes enrollment easy:
  • Log on to www.401k.com with your username and password.
  • Select the Deferred Compensation Plan link.
  • Follow these steps described below.
STEP 1:
Your Deferrals
  • Enter the desired deferral rates for each source of compensation.
    • BASE PAY: Defer up to 50% of 2012 base pay.
    • COMMISSIONS: Defer up to 100% of any commissions you earn during 2012 (if eligible).
    • BONUSES: Defer up to 100% of Company Performance Bonus or Executive Annual Incentive Bonus you earn during 2012 (paid in August 2012 and March 2013 ).

STEP 2:
Your Allocations
  • Decide whether your investment elections apply to all sources or to individual sources of compensation.
    • Select your investment options and the percentage you wish to assign to each.
    • Review the information for each option before you make your choices. Confirm that you have read the prospectuses for funds you select.
    • Repeat the investment election process if you are designating investments separately for each source.
    Please note that changes to your investment elections will be effective immediately and apply to all monies deferred going forward.
STEP 3:
Your Distribution Elections
  • Make a separate distribution election for each source of your deferrals.
  • Choose when you want to receive distributions.
  • Select a payment option for your distributions (i.e., one lump sum or annual installments over two to 15 years).
  • Repeat the distribution election process if designating separately for each source.
STEP 4:
Review & Submit
  • Review your elections carefully to confirm your choices.
  • If the information is correct, click “Submit” to advance to the Confirmation screen.
STEP 5:
Confirm Your Elections
  • Your enrollment is complete and your elections have been saved. Print the confirmation notice and retain it for your records.


The Deferred Compensation Plan is a nonqualified plan, making it exempt from certain IRS limitations and requirements. Assets of the Plan are held in a grantor trust established by Juniper Networks. The Plan is not qualified under IRS regulations. Any account established for you under the Plan would be subject to the claims of Juniper Networks’ creditor(s) in the event of a bankruptcy filed by Juniper Networks. Please call Fidelity Investments at 800-835-5097, Monday through Friday (excluding New York Stock Exchange holidays) between 8:30 a.m. and midnight, Eastern time (5:30 a.m. and 9 p.m., Pacific time) to speak with a Service Center representative for specific provisions of the plan.

If there is a discrepancy between any information on this site and the plan document, the plan document will govern.
